Just Another Day
:I:
You walk down a street some days, and you never know what's gonna happen next. You usually don't have any plans, today's just like any other day. But sometimes, you meet a new person. And once in while, you discover alot of new things about this person. You come to realize that both of you share a lot of common interests, from music and books and friends, to a love of astronomy, bad jokes and zombies. Now normally this doesn't happen alot, but its cool to have a friend who has the same taste as you do. It's when you notice that you both share the same personality and little eccentricities you start to think it's getting a bit weird. Same crazy ideas, same idealistic look at world, same kindness to people, a love of the sky and the cloulds, and an appreciation of what people generally take for granted in life. It's then you realize, today is not like any other day.
:II:
Imagine then, after a couple of hours, you wake up next to said person, in bed. Now don't get anything wrong, nothing happened. You guys had dinner, walked around for a while, met some friends. You kept talking late in the night, and the conversation didn't dry up easy. And then you both fell asleep, and you just woke up next to her on the same bed. Now while sitting in the dark contemplating this turn of events, you whiff the scent of airy violets and exotic fruits on her hair, and the tangled mess your limbs makes it hard to pull away. But you don't mind at all, because you don't want to pull away. You notice the sweet smell of her body. She has her back against you, while your arms wrap around her. Her hand in your hair and your legs into hers, her face a picture of serenity and beauty next to yours. You take turns sleeping and waking up, and snatching a few stolen kisses now and then. You can't really do anything, in the dark, your bodies entwined like two snakes as one, listening to her heartbeat. Because never before have you ever connected with another soul the way you did tonight. Never have you felt so deeply on the same level with another person like you did today. It's then you realize, today was truly not like any other day.
:III:
It's not much later when you realize the implications of your actions. No misunderstanding occurred, and the message was clear between both sides. It's just that for her to accept it, she has to abandon her highest code of values and morals, all those high walls she built around her to protect her after contemplating her life and them completely changing it. The personal choice she made not long ago reflects in a mirror how she already has forsaken many things close and dear to her to abide with her high code of living. And you are but a traveler, in another nameless city for an unknown period of time, always looking but never knowing what it is you look for, until you take the next step on your journey. For a traveler can't knock down those high walls easily when he believes in the same values and morals as the builder of the walls, the master of her own castle. Tearing down those walls sacrifices the very essence of what makes you a man of integrity, the source of your powers, dear traveler. So you don't attack the walls, but you befriend the master of the castle. And when the day for you to leave comes, you only think of what could have been, what might have been, and what will be. It's then you realize, today you have make a decision that will change your life. Today was surely not like any other day.

Effects Of Not Eating All Day Long
For a guy who doesn't ever remember his dreams, I woke up with quite a shock today. It's one of those surreal dreams; where you know you're dreaming from all the batshit crazy things that are happening, and also the group of people gathered weren't the type who'd make friends with each other like, ever. Imagine Salah el Din, Einstein and Batman wearing those little birthday hats, and having tea and crumpets in the middle of a basketball court. While midgets are playing. That kind of batshit crazy.
Now just an interjection, we all have our vices, and me more than others perhaps. It has something to do with the "what's the worst that could happen" outlook I have on life. Suffice to say, I've my share of experiences with the forbidden.
Anyways, so as our very strange group of friends were cruising around in Riyadh, suddenly we felt hungry. And for some completely random and unknown reason, I got a craving for Mareez. Now I never eaten there, don't even know what they serve, but eh what the hell. We got to Mareez, and I was leaving the car I hear one of my friends saying : "He's high."
Here I woke up, mighty confused, and the remark she made was stuck in my head. It was simple remark, one not worth alot of attention. After all it's a silly dream. Everyone has silly dreams right ? Yet, the comment was here to stay.
The way it was said, the tone used, though not condescending, wasn't really pleased about it either. She knew what I was doing, she knew its effects on people and the changes it had on them, but she also knew it was my own business and never interfered in it. But the fact that it disturbed her not because of the substance involved, but of the person doing it is what made the difference. Someone genuinely cared. After that realization, the stupid smile that came over my face stayed there all day long.

Friday
"The best day on which the sun rose was a Friday: on that day, Adam was created; and on that day he entered into Paradise; and on that day, he was taken out from it."
The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), reported by Abu Hurairah
"Thus said, he turned; and Satan, bowing low,
As to superiour Spirits is wont in Heaven,
Where honour due and reverence none neglects,
Took leave, and toward the coast of earth beneath,
Down from the ecliptick, sped with hoped success,
Throws his steep flight in many an aery wheel;
Nor staid, till on Niphates' top he light"

A Picture Is Worth...
... a thousand words, as we are often told.
"The very substance of the ambitious is merely the shadow of a dream."
"Work is the refuge of people who have nothing better to do."
"The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.
"The very substance of the ambitious is merely the shadow of a dream."
"Work is the refuge of people who have nothing better to do."
